If you’re serious about Online marketing and making more sales and leads, you need to take a good hard look at your website call to action on each and every page on your site.

Having loads of targeted traffic coming back to your site is not enough to make a successful online business. To be successful, you need clicks to convert into sales and leads. But how do I do that? You ask. It’s not easy but if you’re prepared to put in some hard work there are loads of customers waiting to be called or wanting to buy your products.

Use separate landing pages for each of your main search terms. It is much better having people land on a page with theme relevant content rather than just the home page.

A/B Test your pages in Google’s Analytics. They have recently added this feature into Google Analytics. The feature in Google Analytics is now called Experiment. Improving and testing your pages conversion rates through A/B split testing, will better help you understand what call to action and elements need to be improved on the page.

3. Fulfil your Ads Promise

Making sure your landing page fulfils your ads promise, is vital to increasing conversion rate and improving the user experience. Which over time will have a significant effect on your bottom line?

4. Use Pictures to your Advantage

Make sure you use images on your landing page and, better still showing real people using the products in images can increase conversions rates. Images help people relate to your products and build trust and engagement.

5. Increase Engagement with Video

Use videos to increase engagement and give customers trust in your product and services. People are much more likely to watch a YouTube movie and continue watching than to read through large amounts of content. By doing this, you can keep your customers engaged.

6. Use White Space

Use white space around an important call to actions. Web sites that have crammed content make it hard to spot the call to action.

7. Use Multiple Call to Action

Make sure you use at least two clear call to actions on every page. When doing this consider using colour, shapes and large text to grab people’s attention.

8. Follow Hard Lines to Call to Action

Use hard lines in your website to draw attention to important call to actions. You can also do this effectively with people’s eye contact in pictures. Have the person in the picture look directly at your phone number.

9. Edit Ruthlessly

Be honest about your writing & edit ruthlessly. Make sure you are as helpful as possible and try not to have too much content on each page.

10. Make it Easy to Share

Last but not least, encourage your customers to engage and share on social media. Social media signals within assisted clicks a proving to be invaluable to the customer’s journey to conversion.
